Initiated in November 2006 and completed in 2010. The implementation of the Supply Chain Optimization project is a big leap towards achieving KNPC’s strategic vision and it’s wide recognition as a major player in the global refining industry. It helped changing KNPC into a customer focused organization that delivers on-spec products on schedule with minimum giveaway while optimizing refinery utilization, increase productivity of existing assets and overall profitability. For the first time ever in the petroleum industry on such a massive scale, a suite of decision making tools incorporating a number of new business processes is successfully deployed. At this point no other production or refining facility in petroleum industry has the befit of a fully integrated decision making chain of production process as KNPC has today. Since January 2010 – KNPC’s three refineries are using a common platform of applications and unified business processes in the Shot-term and Mid-term Planning, Refinery Scheduling, Inventory Projections, Production Accounting, Oil Movements & Dock Execution, Operations Execution and Performance Management.
Well done to the KIMS team for securing this prestigious award for KNPC.
